Respite Care

In addition to St. Martin’s Pines Rehab Center which provided temporary transitional care from hospital to home, St. Martin’s also provides Respite Care for those who may not require skilled nursing services but want a little extra support before going home.

Catering to those who need assistance recuperating after a hospital stay, or to caregivers while traveling for work or leisure, St. Martin’s offers our respite program in the Retirement Apartments and Assisted Living. The accommodations are completely furnished and the same services and amenities that permanent residents enjoy are included in your daily rate. A minimum stay of four days is required and this service is subject to availability.

Sixty years ago, the Rev. David Cady Wright, rector of St. Mary's-on-the-Highlands Episcopal Church, was concerned that many of his parishioners would not have a dignified, comfortable retirement. It was Rev. Wright's pastoral concern which gave St. Martin's its beginning.
